How 1R Garage Door Works
An independent guide and referral service for Carlsbad homeowners: what we do, how we are funded, and how every page is checked.
Short answer
1R Garage Door is an independent guide and referral service for homeowners in Carlsbad, California. It is not a contractor, does not hold a contractor license, and does not do the repairs. Calls and requests are passed to licensed local garage door companies.
What 1R Garage Door is
This site explains garage door problems, costs and California rules in plain language, and helps Carlsbad homeowners reach a licensed company. When you call (760) 262-9452 or send a request, we take your community and what the door is doing, and connect you with a licensed local company. The company that comes out, not 1R Garage Door, performs the work, gives you the written quote and stands behind the repair.
Business address: 5050 Avenida Encinas #232, Carlsbad, CA 92008.
How the site is funded
The companies we connect you with may pay us for the referral. That payment does not change the prices, ranges or advice published on this site, which come from the sources linked at the bottom of each page.
Editorial policy
- Sources first. Every price, date and rule links to the page it came from, and we open the source before citing it.
- Dates on everything. Each page shows when it was last updated. Figures older than 2025 are labeled as older.
- Ranges, not promises. Prices are published third-party ranges. We do not promise a price or an arrival time. Your written quote is the number that counts.
- Plain about limits. We say when a source is a vendor guide, when two sources disagree, and when something is not legal advice.
- Corrections. If you spot an error, tell us on the contact page. We fix verified errors and update the date.
Where the prices come from
Carlsbad figures come from HomeAdvisor’s Carlsbad page. Job-by-job ranges come from HomeAdvisor’s national cost guides, HomeGuide figures as reported by ThePricer and HomeServe, American Home Shield, Thumbtack, and HomeBlue’s 2022 Carlsbad estimates. These are estimates published by the sources, not prices charged by 1R Garage Door. See the Carlsbad cost guide for the table and every link.
What we do not do
- We do not publish customer reviews or technician bios we cannot verify.
- We do not claim a license, bond or years in business that belong to someone else.
- We do not repeat the same page for every zip code or neighborhood. Local pages only go up when we have real, sourced local facts.
- We do not tell you a repair is safe to do yourself when it involves springs, cables or an off-track door.
Verify any company yourself
Whoever comes to your home, check their license at the California Contractors State License Board or call 800-321-CSLB (2752). California requires licensed contractors to show their license number in advertising. Ask for the business address and a written quote before work starts.
